BREAKING NEWS: One Direction announce next single?

Cue fangirls worldwide freaking out over this announcement – we’re with you people!

Because this is right, One Direction have not only revealed the title for their lead single from their upcoming album Four, but the lads have also released the artwork!

And as always, our favourite group of boys are looking pretty fine!

steal my girl

Just moments ago, Liam Payne tweeted that the new single is called ‘Steal My Girl’ and will premiere around the world on September 29th!

This is before the single’s official release in the UK on October 12th – though people from the UK are able to pre-order the track at midnight tonight and will also receive a remix created by good ol’ Payno!

This announcement comes shortly after the five lads announced the name and release date of their fourth studio album (which reached number 1 in 67 countries in pre-orders alone!) and a free downloadable track entitled ‘Fireproof’, which broke the download record with 1.1 million copies in 24-hours!

‘Steal My Girl’ was written by 1D’s Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, along with Ed Drewett, Wayne Hector, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan and is said to feature “cascading stadium piano chords” – according to Columbia Records.

You can pre-order the group’s newest track on both iTunes and Amazon!

BREAKING NEWS: JB joins Rewind?

JB joins Rewind? YES but not THE JB *crys*

The Scottish Heartthrobs: Kieran, Jack, Lewis and James otherwise known as Rewind are back with a new addition to their line-up – JB after Ryan left the band to pursue a Finance career in Dubai.

The news was confirmed by Ryan himself on twitter where he stated ‘I’ve had to make a very very difficult decision to leave Rewind… I really can’t thank all of you enough for making my last few years one of the best experiences of my life”

Ryan will be sadly missed by both their dedicated fanbase AND us Brumoters however we are looking forward to seeing JB in the new Rewind line-up and we are more than certain he will not disappoint.

The Wanted will stay Gold Forever!

After an hour of singing, dancing, throwing water at their fans and leaving two of our Brumoter writers very emotional, The Wanted left the stage at Fusion Festival for what could have been the last time EVER!

This comes after the group announced an extended hiatus earlier this year (But remember, we also spoke of their ‘last ever performance’ previously in April after their Nottingham show during the ‘Word of Mouth’ Tour so don’t despair TWFanmily, they may have more!)

The group’s appearance sparked controversy even before the event, not only because this was to be their only UK festival appearance, but as it was announced 11 days before the show that Nathan Sykes would NOT be appearing due to solo music commitments!

Leaving fans devastated and the other four boys to go it alone, with the promise from Max George that ‘the proper Wanted’ would be on stage.

However, this didn’t dampen the spirits of the four piece who were determined to make us glad we came and they did not disappoint!

Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaren and last, but not least Tom Parker – put on an electric show, bringing the fun and party atmosphere to the festival (like they’re well known for). Mixing oldies from their debut album, including ‘Lose My Mind’ and ‘All Time Low’ with newer crowd favourites like ‘We Own The Night’ and ‘Lightning’

The Wanted sure know how to put on a great performance as the four heartthrobs left tons of girls screaming and crying – though the lads were quick to comfort fans near the front of the stage to stop the sadness.

Tom even gave the ladies a cheeky flash of his rather perfectly toned abs (We know ladies, we know)!

Even though there were a few vocal hitches and lack of singing in certain songs (Looking at you Mr. McGuiness) – which we put down to lack of rehearsal. However, their vocals remained strong  and their incredible stage presence and bond within the group showed throughout their performance, captivating the audience and showing the lads are pop, at it’s finest!

Before the show, both our Brumoters and fans alike were worried about the lack of Nathan Sykes, however, this didn’t seem to be an issue as the other lads seemed to express their personalities more and interact with the crowd. However, the question on everybody’s lips: Has Nathan already moved on? Or was it simply a case of bad timing (as reported)?

The Wanted’s performance at Fusion Festival showed why they were and will always be one of the biggest boybands of our time, who will sadly be missed (though we hope not for very long, start planning that comeback gentlemen!)

Brumotions give their performance 5/5 microphones! (We apologise Jay, we know you wanted less!)

BREAKING NEWS: The Wanted to perform at Fusion Festival without Nathan Sykes?

Are The Wanted scheduled to perform at Fusion Festival without Nathan Sykes?!

The wanted (1)

It’s been announced today that this is TRUE!

Only moments ago, Fusion Fest discussed this topic on there Facebook page, posting the following statement:

“Hi everyone – just to say The Wanted were booked as a four piece at Fusion Festival next weekend due to Nathan’s ongoing and longstanding recording commitments out of the UK that day. The band are really looking forward to seeing all their fans in Birmingham and are planning on putting on an amazing show!”

This comes as a surprise to most fans as the group’s appearance at the Festival was never called into question and there are only 11 days until the group’s performance.

Shortly after the announcement of Sykes not attending the festival, fellow bandmate Max George took to Twitter with a pretty sassy statement, tweeting: “Can’t wait for next weekend! The proper wanted turning up! Let’s have it! #FusionFestival
