Demi Lovato – ‘Neon Lights’

Demi Lovato is back!

Showcasing her incredible vocal ability and talented writing skills with the release of her amazing new single ‘Neon Lights’, which features and has been re-released off her fourth studio album Demi.

Lovato, who found popularity through various movies on the Disney Channel: ‘Camp Rock’, by starring in ‘Sonny With A Chance’ AND from judging a number of contestants on the X-Factor USA (Including our favourites, Emblem 3!), has released the fourth track from her album on June 15th here in the UK.

Neon Lights is a catchy, upbeat electropop dance track, conveying the message of living in the now as there is no time like the present, along with Lovato’s lifelong belief with self-confidence and ‘doing your own thing’: “Baby, when they look up at the sky. We’ll be shooting stars just passing by, you’ll be coming home with me tonight, we’ll be burning up like neon lights.”

The lyrics showcase Lovato’s impressive vocal ability (remember she is ONLY 21!) and the rave-tastic track gets everyone dancing along. Although the single is being re-released, we have no doubt that this single will be jumping back into the charts very soon!

Demi Lovato is an amazing vocal talent with incredible song writing talent to match! She’s a rising talent who we are sure will be taking over the UK in due time, gaining Lovatics in all of us!

And we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

Little Mix – ‘Salute’

Little Mix are once again showing the world why they’re one of our favourite girlband’s with the release of their amazing new single ‘Salute’, which features on their second studio album of the same name.

Little Mix – who were form exclusively for the eighth series of the X-Factor UK and were the first group to ever win the competition – consists of Jade, Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne, released the track half-way through the UK leg of their Salute Tour.

Salute is an amazing, upbeat R&B track, which promotes women power all around the world and reminds us of a modern day Destiny’s Child with their feisty attitude and female empowerment message – Brumotions salute these ladies!

The track has already received an incredible response from the girls Mixers, who have been playing their new music video non-stop to hear the great tune and to see the girls at their best.

The lyrics showcase the immaculate vocal abilities from all four girls and delves into deeper issues to spread a positive message to all of their fans: “Don’t need ammunition on a mission and we’ll hit you with the truth. Divas, queens, we don’t need no man, salute.”

Salute received mild success back when the album was first released and although we love the track, we’re not sure about it jumping up into the top 10 anytime soon, but we obviously wish the ladies all the best with the success of their newly released track and we’ll be playing this tune on repeat for the next week or so!

Little Mix are rising stars and proving that people still love a good ‘ol fashioned girlband! And we can’t wait to see what the ladies have planned with their third album, especially as they have spoke out about working with more American producers.

Salute is out NOW!

One Direction – ‘You & I’

Popular (and one of our favourite boybands), British-Irish boyband One Direction have released their new single, the incredible ‘You & I’ which features on their third studio album Midnight Memories with great success already!

One Direction, who were put together during their time on the X-Factor, consisting of Harry, Liam, Zayn, Louis and Niall (though we’d be surprised if you didn’t know this already!) released the track as their fourth single from the album on May 25th.

You & I is an amazing and elegant power ballad by the group, which has received an amazing response from the lads’ millions of fans from across the world (including the video which shows the boys looking just as incredible).

In an interview on Good Morning Britain, Harry said “You & I is a love song. It’s saying that you’re inseparable or nothing can get in the way of you and your love.”

The lyrics perfectly showcase the incredible vocal abilities from all five of the boys and show their defiance in the subject of love in the lyrics: “You and I, we don’t wanna be like them. We can make it ’til the end, nothing can come between You & I.”

One-Direction-1D-You-And-I

You & I already raced up the charts back when the lads released their third album Midnight Memories and we expect the boys to return to the charts fairly quickly with this incredible track.

One Direction remain as one of the biggest groups in the world with a load of top 10 singles under their belt!

And we can’t wait to see what the lads’ fourth studio album has to showcase to the world who are waiting patiently!

You & I is out NOW!

Loving Union J is Easy!

With an incredible line-up planned throughout the day and night, OMG Live was nothing short of a success as the Forum Live stage at the LG Arena was jam packed on Thursday night!

The event – with joint headliners Lawson and Union J – held an electric atmosphere with fans being able to alternate between seeing their favourite artists, some fresh faces on the music scene or stand in the sun of ‘The Yard’ with an amazing DJ set!

But like the majority of those attending the event, we made sure to see the incredible group that is… Union J!

The quartet, consisting of Josh, George, Jaymi and JJ grew in success during their time on Series 9 of the X Factor UK and have since released their debut album and three singles, which have all reached the Top 10 in the UK.

Fans were ecstatic to see the boys perform in Birmingham once again and were thoroughly entertained as the lads proceeded to have a laugh with one another much to the delight of their dedicated J-Cats.

Union J impressed with their relentless energy and obviously catchy tunes, making the atmosphere in the arena electric as their fans screamed the lyrics back at them, from the various songs they performed from their debut, self-titled album, including: ‘Beethoven’, ‘Head in the Clouds’ and ‘Lucky Ones’.

The groups second and third singles, ‘Beautiful Life’ and ‘Loving You Is Easy’ rounded off their incredible setlist – which was unfortunately too short for our liking as only 7 songs were performed.

Union J are definitely a group that people need to experience a live performance of.

They’re great fun, especially when showing their individual personalities, and also with great voices and incredibly catchy tunes, you will not be disappointed!

With the promise of a second album on the way, make sure to keep an eye out!

You can also see them at this years Fusion Festival! Tickets are on sale NOW!

We love ALL of Kingsland Road

kingsland_rd_glam

One of our favourite boy bands, Kingsland Road have just dropped their new cover of John Legend’s All of Me.

At first we were a little apprehensive – to say the least – as the boys are known for their upbeat interpretations of songs – however, after listening (in Nandos might we add). We, at Brumotions absolutely love it and we know you will too.

Kingsland Road, made up of Jay, Josh, Connor, Matt and Thompson recently burst onto the music scene gaining a loyal following of fans known as KLanders. (find out a little more about them in our previous introducing post).

Their cover of All of Me will make you instantly smile with their infectious personalities which come across in the song and the video giving the slow song – The Kingsland Treatment.

Here at Brumotions, we have heard many covers of this song and Kingsland Road’s will not disappoint – they make the song their own with their on-point harmonies and great individual vocals, mixed with the use of ukulele and box drum giving the song an instant summery, feel good factor and something that’s a little bit different to the covers you are used to hearing.

With a combination of good chemistry, great style, dreamy good looks and those obvious cheeky personalities- and yes, we clocked that little wink to the camera -We think it’s clear that Kingsland Road are currently one of our favourite artists.

We can’t wait to see what the band have planned next as they are very talented… and it also helps that they’re rather attractive.

Nothing to Lose with Emblem3!

Emblem3 wowed at their gig at the O2 Academy2 in Birmingham last night, much to the delight of their dedicated fans.

The Washington based trio came to Birmingham as part of the UK leg of their #Bandlife tour!

The group, consisting of Keaton, Drew and Wesley (Left to Right) entertained the energetic crowd with a range of songs from their debut and only album thus far: Nothing to Lose, including 3000 Miles and Teenage Kings.

The impressive set also contained a short acoustic performance by the trio, which gained a great reception from the fans, who sang along with the group’s relaxed version of ‘Riptide’.

Although the group entertained and impressed with their relentless energy and catchy tunes, much confusion was raised as no ‘special guests’ made an appearance, even though they were announced.

Plus the audience were left to wait for nearly two hours, inside the venue before the band performed.

The group, popularly known for appearing on the Second series of the X-Factor USA and making it to the semi-finals, finishing in fourth place didn’t have a large audience to entertained as they aren’t well-known here in the UK, but their eager fans made up the atmosphere considerably as the lads took to the stage.

We would definitely recommend going to see them live as you have nothing to lose when seeing this group of talented boys – they have the talent and an impressive setlist to make it far!
